Rayo Vallecano and Olimpia Cluj celebrate

Rayo Vallecano de Madrid and CFF Olimpia Cluj moved through from the UEFA Women's Champions League qualifying round after the second set of games on Saturday.

The round concludes on Tuesday, when the eight group winners and two runners-up with the best record against the sides first and third in their section will progress to join the 22 top-ranked clubs in the round of 32, drawn on 23 August. UEFA.com rounds up Saturday's action.

Group 1
BSC Young Boys opened up a three-point gap thanks to a 7-0 defeat of CS Goliador-SS 11 Chisinau, the goals including Lia Wälti scoring direct from a corner. Macedonian hosts ZFK Nase Taksi-SNT 2010, beaten by fellow debutants Young Boys on Thursday, bounced back to defeat PAOK FC 1-0, Lenche Andreevska claiming the winner three minutes from half-time on her 19th birthday. Vesna Vitanova did well to keep out PAOK after the break, but her side cannot win the group. PAOK can still pip Young Boys but must beat the Swiss side on Tuesday and by a two-goal margin should Taksi-SNT overcome Chisinau.

Group 2
An exciting final day is in prospect with three teams in contention in Portugal. MTK Hungária FC began the afternoon two points clear but ASA Tel-Aviv FC, who equalised in added time on Thursday against SU 1° Dezembro, beat the Budapest team 1-0 through Sarit Shenar's 84th-minute goal. MTK had made six changes from their 12-0 defeat of SK Liepājas Metalurgs with Rita Méry and Dóra Papp, who each scored four that day, only used in the second half as ASA dominated the game physically. Hosts 1º Dezembro went top, above ASA on goal difference and a point ahead of MTK, after a 4-0 defeat of Latvia's first entrants SK Liepājas Metalurgs, but their hopes of a bigger win were frustrated by several misses including a Carla Couto penalty. On Tuesday, 1° Dezembro meet MTK and ASA take on Liepājas.

Group 3
Rayo Vallecano de Madrid, who made it to the last 16 in 2010/11, are in the knockouts again thanks to a 4-1 win against Pärnu JK as the club the Spanish side beat with a late goal on Thursday, Irish champions Peamount United, saw off Slovenian hosts ŽNK Krka 7-0. Pärnu took a shock lead on ten minutes via Kaire Palmaru's strike from 25 minutes but hopes of following up their opening defeat of Krka were dashed by Jenniffer Hermoso's equaliser late in the half and Rayo surged away after the break. Peamount then overwhelmed the home side to move up to second, ahead of Tuesday opponents Pärnu on goal difference, and they can still aim to go through as one of the two best runners-up.

Group 4
CFF Olimpia Cluj had opened up a two-point lead on Thursday when they beat WFC SFK 2000 Sarajevo 3-1 on their European debut – and a 5-0 defeat of Lithuania's FK Gintra Universitetas proved enough to take the Romanian champions through thanks to the hosts' later 4-1 victory against Ataşehir Belediyespor. Loredana Cosma's two goals, sandwiching Ştefania Vătafu's penalty, put Olimpia in control before the break, and Cosmina Duşa struck twice late on to take her tournament tally to four despite a determined display from Gintra keeper Ina Boyko. Sarajevo will now hope that a good last-day result against Gintra will leave them as one of the best runners-up after their win, which was inspired by two great goals from Amela Kršo. Amela Fetahović was also on target despite missing a penalty for which Yeliz Demir was sent off.

Group 5
Glasgow City FC are another side with a three-point lead after putting on an exhibition of football to defeat Malta's Mosta FC 8-0 with seven different scorers. ŽFK Spartak, beaten 4-0 by Glasgow on Thursday, overcame Faroese ever-presents KÍ Klaksvík 4-2 with three unanswered second-half goals in a strong finish, but the Serbian hosts cannot now top the group. KÍ can still deny Glasgow with a victory when they meet on Tuesday, but it will need to be by three goals should Spartak defeat Mosta.

Group 6
Finnish hosts PK-35 Vantaa defeated fellow opening winners ŠK Slovan Bratislava 1-0, a Jenae Seppälä header 14 minutes from the end making their second-half superiority tell and adding them to the list of sides three points clear in their group. However, Vantaa are not yet through as their Tuesday opponents RTP Unia Racibórz joined Slovan on three points by beating Albania's KS Ada 8-0 thanks in part to a Agata Tarczyńska hat-trick. Any win other than 1-0 on Tuesday would be good enough for Polish side Unia; Slovan will need Vantaa to lose by that exact scoreline and beat Ada by better than 10-0 to finish top.

Group 7
Hosts Apollon Limassol LFC and FC Legenda Chernigiv both won their games 8-0 to set up a Tuesday decider. Apollon, who hit 14 in their opener, will have the goal difference advantage after their dominant performance against Swansea City LFC, Hayley Lauder's beautiful long-range strike in the 39th minute and Christiana Solomou's solo effort near the end the most spectacular of their goals. Hat-trick scorer Yulia Kornievets stood out for Legenda as they overcame Luxembourg's FC Progrès Niedercorn,but the Ukrainian champions, whose goalkeeper Kateryna Samson only touched the ball once, must beat Apollon on Tuesday to make sure of going through.

Group 8
It could not be closer as FC NSA Sofia and Croatian hosts WFC Osijek each prevailed 1-0 to go into the joint lead a point ahead of Belarusian side FC Bobruichanka. NSA, who drew 1-1 with Osijek on Thursday, ended the hopes of Northern Ireland's Newtownabbey Strikers WFC, but the Bulgarian champions missed a number of chances to add to the tenth-minute winner of stand-out player Silvia Radoyska. Osijek then beat opening-day leaders Bobruichanka through Ana Marija Kalamiza's early strike. On Tuesday, NSA face Bobruichanka and Osijek are up against eliminated Newtownabbey.
