Taste The Action: The flavours of Porto

Following visits to San Sebastian and Frankfurt, Ana Quiles headed to Portugal for her latest UEFA Europa League culinary mission.

For this Taste The Action piece presented by Just Eat Takeaway.com, she started her trip to Porto by sampling "the country's favourite sweet", the pastel de nata. After a taste of the egg custard tart, she got hold of "a sandwich to remember". The francesinha is a hearty combination of toasted bread meat and cheese; a Porto remix of the French croque monsieur.

Bacalhau is the Portuguese name for cod, and the salted version is a national speciality; Quiles says "it tastes amazing". Meanwhile, her choice for "comfort food before the game" is arroz de pato: a combination of rice, shredded duck and sausage.
