Galatasaray get hold of Emre

Galatasaray AS have made MKE Ankaragücü defender Emre Güngör, a former Turkey Under-21 international, their first mid-season signing for an undisclosed fee.

Under-21 international
The 23-year-old centre-back arrives in Istanbul for an undisclosed fee, and with his contract details still to be announced by Galatasaray. He joins the UEFA Cup contenders with 83 Turkish league appearances to his name, having started his professional career with Ankaragücü and having also played on loan at Türk Telekomspor. Emre has been capped 20 times by Turkey at Under-21 level. His new club, who are third in the Süper Lig, will face Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the UEFA Cup Round of 32 in the new year.
