European Under-21 Championship tickets on sale

Tickets for the 2011 UEFA European Under-21 Championship in Denmark are on sale now, with supporters encouraged to book early to watch Europe's rising stars in action from 11 to 25 June.

There are special offers to encourage youngsters to attend in high numbers, with tickets for fans aged up to 21 priced at just DKK 21 (Danish kroner) – about €3.

Additional offers will be available through selected partners while you can also take advantage of excellent packages for families, teams and groups of 21 people – so be sure to buy your tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Hosts Denmark have been drawn in Group A alongside Switzerland, Iceland and Belarus while England, Ukraine, Spain and Czech Republic make up Group B. It is a strong lineup and tournament director Christian Bordinggaard, from the Danish Football Association (DBU), cannot wait for the action to start. "Things are now in place for the summer's football party," he said.

"We know which teams are coming and we know where they'll play. Our organisation is in place and the Danish people are well aware of the 2011 UEFA European Under-21 Championship. With UEFA making such a clear gesture at trying to attract young people to the matches, we have received a great boost in our marketing campaign and in our attempts to sell each and every one of the 200,000 tickets at our disposal."

The 2009 UEFA European U21 Championship in Sweden set high attendance figures with a total of 163,196 spectators, making for an average of 10,880 per game.

This summer's matches in Denmark will be played in Aalborg, Aarhus, Herning and Viborg. All four host cities are located on the Jutland peninsula. Tickets can be purchased via UEFA.com or by calling (+45) 7015 6565.
