What to expect
Looking to gain real-world experience in the sports industry? At UEFA, our internships offer students and recent graduates the chance to step into a dynamic, international organisation and contribute to meaningful projects from day one.
Our internships are full-time and in-person, based at our headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.
What we offer
Whether your background is in law, business, psychology, tech or sports & event management, there’s a place for you to grow at UEFA. Our internships usually run for up to six months and span a wide range of departments, including:
- Accommodation services
- Commercial operations
- Event management
- Marketing & Communications
- ICT
- … and many more.
We offer several recurring internships each year, and new opportunities also emerge depending on departmental needs, ongoing projects and upcoming events. For that reason, it’s important to read the full job description to understand the specifics of each role.
We also collaborate with Powercoders, a programme that supports refugees and migrants in building careers in IT, and we regularly offer internship placements to some of their participants.
There is no specific date and time at which our internships are published, and we therefore ask you to pay close attention to our job listings page throughout the year.

UEFA People stories:
Galileo, Communications Intern:
"What stood out to me was the respect given to me even as “just an intern” I was encouraged to give my views and to be involved to the degree I was comfortable with. I was asked if I wanted to be exposed to projects outside of my scope with no obligation to accept or deliver anything but just for my personal interest and education. There is a mutual respect where I’m not “given” tasks that nobody wants to do but rather thanked and appreciated for all that I do deliver."
Ruben, Ticketing Intern:
"What truly stands out for me in the ticketing team - and more broadly at UEFA - is the strong social culture. Whether it's through shared activities like sports, lunchtime football or casual conversations, there's a real sense that people care about one another and are passionate about the unique values and skills each person brings. This creates an environment where collaboration thrives, everyone feels part of something meaningful which leads to a sense of trust that becomes especially valuable in high-pressure situations. I experienced this firsthand when I was called in last minute to support the ticketing team for the Conference League final. The trust placed in me and the smooth collaboration that followed were a direct result of all of this."
Julie, Accommodation Intern:
"What struck me the most during my internship at UEFA in the Travel, Accommodation & Conferences unit (TAC unit) was how much I felt part of the team. From day one, I was included in important projects and encouraged to take initiative. Whether coordinating hotel logistics for UEFA club competition finals or being trusted to represent UEFA on site at two major events, I always felt supported and valued. That kind of environment really builds confidence and made this internship one of the most rewarding experiences of my journey so far."
