Robin van Persie and Shinji Kagawa scored on their home debuts as Manchester United FC rallied from a goal behind to beat Fulham FC 3-2, while Chelsea FC, Everton FC and Swansea City AFC maintained their 100% starts.
Damien Duff gave the visitors a third-minute lead at Old Trafford, but Van Persie lifted spirits seven minutes later by planting a fabulous half-volley beyond Mark Schwarzer. Fellow summer signing Kagawa made it two, before Rafael Da Silva tightened United's grip by turning in Ashley Young's centre (43). Nemanja Vidić's second-half own goal breathed new life into Fulham but they were denied a point after David de Gea twice saved from Moussa Dembélé.
Belgian international Eden Hazard was imperious once more, converting a penalty before teeing up Fernando Torres' sublime finish in Chelsea's 2-0 win against Newcastle United FC. Three first-half goals paved the way for Everton's 3-1 success at Aston Villa FC, who finished with ten men, while Michu was on target for the second consecutive week as Swansea dispatched West Ham United FC 3-0 in the early kick off.
Arouna Koné scored on his debut in Wigan Athletic FC's 2-0 win at Southampton FC, while Tottenham Hotspur FC and Norwich City FC both surrended leads to draw 1-1, against West Bromwich Albion FC and Queens Park Rangers FC respectively.
