With Cristiano Ronaldo holding a mighty lead over any potential challengers, the destination of the 2010/11 ESM Golden Shoe title has not been in doubt since his final Liga appearance of the season, but there were moves further down the rankings as the French season drew to a close.
Moussa Sow has had a fine campaign in front of goal for Ligue 1 champions LOSC Lille Métropole and finished in fitting fashion, registering a hat-trick in the 3-2 win against Stade Rennais FC. That feat raised him into sixth place on his own and onto 50 points, two short of SSC Napoli forward Edinson Cavani.
It also put Sow on 25 top-flight goals this term, an impressive enough haul even before considering his previous best season yielded just nine. Sow broke free from the tie with Papiss Cissé, and the SC Freiburg frontman was joined in seventh place by FC Lorient's Kévin Gameiro. The 24-year-old struck in his side's final-day loss to AJ Auxerre, moving himself out of a five-way tie for eighth place.

Rules
Only the leading five countries – Spain, Italy, Germany, France and England – in the UEFA rankings have two as their multiplier. This is to emphasise the difference in (international) performance level between clubs from those countries and those of other nations.
A player cannot play first in a summer league (e.g. Norway) and then in a winter league (e.g. Spain) and combine the points totals for each season.
