As coaches from across the continent gather in Nyon for the 15th UEFA Elite Club Coaches Forum, among those preparing to discuss major issues surrounding UEFA club competitions are a trio of men with supreme experience of the European game.
José Mourinho, Mircea Lucescu and Rafael Benítez have incredible pedigree in the coaching realm and are all set to bring a wealth of knowledge to the congress, before they begin new UEFA Champions League campaigns.
"It's fundamental and I think at the level we're at, the only way to learn is to learn from experiences, to study day after day the experiences you live on the pitch as a coach every day in training, and on the bench," said Chelsea FC's Mourinho, who has won the UEFA Champions League with FC Porto and FC Internazionale Milano.
"It's always important to see things from a different perspective," added SSC Napoli coach Benítez, a UEFA Champions League winner in 2005 with Liverpool FC. "It's always important to see a different mentality, culture and style of football."
"[The Forum] is important because we, as coaches, meet each other at UEFA," said FC Shakhtar Donetsk coach Lucescu. "We can exchange ideas. We meet each other. We start to respect each other."
