Sergei Ignashevich's involvement at UEFA EURO 2012 appears to be in the balance after the Russian international centre-back broke a toe in his right foot during training.

Russia may be without experienced centre-back Sergei Ignashevich for their UEFA EURO 2012 campaign because of a broken toe.
Ignashevich suffered the injury to his right foot in training with PFC CSKA Moskva on Tuesday and though it is unclear if surgery will be needed, the 32-year-old defender's participation in this summer's tournament looks to be in the balance. "I'm really upset with this news," said the 72-times capped Ignashevich, who made nine appearances during qualifying.
"It is hard to imagine a worse time for an injury. It would be even more awful without the support of my family and friends. The injury is not that serious, as I've avoided a cast. I hope to help my team again this season."
Russia begin their UEFA EURO 2012 campaign against the Czech Republic in Wroclaw on the opening day of the tournament, 8 June. Also in Group A are co-hosts Poland and 2004 winners Greece.
The Russian Premier-Liga season ends the weekend of 12/13 May.
